As the years go by our little festival has gotten better known, and occasionally we get some attention from the press. This year we were noticed all over the place, with mentions all over the internet and some local newspapers (who really don't understand the concept of Festival Atitlan at all) covered us because of our ecological intentions. We even got noticed by National Geographic: they did a piece on their travel blog about the event:
